The Ponte Vecchio

Captured in colored pencil on toned paper, the Ponte Vecchio (Italian for Old Bridge) exudes timeless charm. The medieval stone arches and vibrant shops, now mostly jewelers, narrate Florence’s rich history. The iconic bridge, featuring the secret Vasari Corridor above, which the Medici family could use to avoid coming in contact with Florence’s hoi polloi, reflects its enchanting essence, bringing inspiration to every stroke of the drawing. 
This may be one of my favorite structures in one of my favorite cities on earth. I even built a model of it many years ago from a kit. I never miss a visit (or a few visits) to the Ponte Vecchio, when I go to Florence.
