Drawn in pencil on paper, Chester Cathedral’s Gothic and Romanesque architecture showcases its historic beauty. The intricate woodwork, stunning stained glass, and medieval quire speak of centuries past. This revered landmark, with its rich heritage, influenced every detail of the drawing, reflecting its timeless charm. 
I recall that upon entering the cathedral years ago, hearing the dynamic – and not at all cathedral-like -- Pièce héroïque, by César Franck being played on the church’s magnificent organ. If you’ve not heard the piece, and even if you’re not a classical music aficionado, I recommend at least one listen at your earliest convenience.
